Fuck indeed. I'd contact campagnolo and kick up a fuss.

I will see what joy I can get from Ribble first.

*cough*no commentcough
Hope you get it sorted. Never seen a cassette go like that before.. you must have unheard of levels of power :)

More power than hippo
Jebus is my new god

I've seen Jaygee accelerating one evening from Waterloo Road into and around St.George's Circus,
and all I could think was 'kin 'ell, he's movin'! -

I just think I'm unlucky*. First my Phil BB spindle and now this.
*don't stop propagating the myth though.

- Awesome power?
- Poor Maintenance?
- Faulty part?
It looks pretty clean so I say send it back with a threat AND boast about your awesome power.

With that kind of power output I'd give up riding altogether, and instead bound across town with a single mighty leap.

Got the group at the end of March.
- I wasn't applying more than 50% of my awesome power.
- I have only done around 2000Km on the part, and I obsess about keeping things shiny.
- See Hippy's comment. A quick internet search turned up nothing though.
I have already sent a mail to Ribble. I hope I can get this sorted soon, as these are my only wheels, and I am soft after a whole summer of riding with gears.
The other thing that I hope is that the freehub isn't damaged.

You never see Teenslain having such issues with his crankset/chainset. There must be an argument for treating a bike in a much more genteel manner, as opposed to the violence that MisterJaygee issues to his steed.
*Teenbaby is an easy target*

what with this and jenny j making her bike sound funky, it's a well known FACT! that sstc increases power to AWESOME levels.
-

I think the well known fact is that Campagfailo quality control is abysmal.
Usually I'd expect the crank to fail though, not a cassette. New levels of Campawesomeness.

It's worse that that, he's dead Jim.
-

Same thing happened to me last year, centaur 10 cassette though. it was either 14 or 15T.

Only best recycled 1664 cans make it into Camapagnolo's production. Finest gruppo of all of Romanian factorys.

True. I've had the same thing happen to me on a 9spd campy cassette. They are poo.
Time to get some Sram red Jeebus.

Fuck me, that is the power of Christ if I ever seen it.

Campag have lost the fucking plot recently. I've got a few bits from recent years that are niggling, and pissing me off with their non-compatibility issues.
Reckon I'll be trying SRAM next time, but it looks sort of unaffordable unless purchased with a build. Can't justify that, so it's just down to me to ride stuff into the ground, which is difficult when your awesome power is countered by impeccably deft riding skills ;)
@jaygee - maybe you've 'shined' it into early retirement? WTF are you using? I use an oily rag about once a year :D

I agonised for about 5 minutes about getting SRAM. Maybe I should have thought a little harder for longer.
Still, I am stuck with it now, ghost shifting, broken cogs and all.
As for cleaning, I give it a light tinkle with a feather duster now and again.
Seriously, a splash of water after gritty rides, and a paintbrush to remove any gunk between the cogs is all.
I shall now concentrate on the deftness part.

Not sure how I managed this, but I sheered the 15t cog out of my 11 Speed Chorus casette, taking it steady up Anerley Hill.
VeeVee and I made up the autobus of the SSTC ride this morning. Got all the way round, then bang, right at the end...
Fuuuuuuuuucccccccckkkkkk!
