I dont really play games but i was just looking through the market to see what the graphics are like and there is nothinhg that would look even remotely as good as people were saying!! not sure why but i am assuming no games studios develop for android..

also before i bought the galalxy s there wass loads of chat about how ghood the gpu is on the phone... thats all fair and wellobut there are no 3d games to play on the thing!!!
carrom3D is my favorite galaxy s game so far. I have a few 3D games. Mostly car racing. But they look really good and run super smooth

Can somebody advise me on updating an HTC Hero on Vodafone? I got this when it first came out, and probably have the original operating system. I am extremely low-tech. If possible guidance on which upgrade is best (2.1, 2.2 (is this possible?)) and where I can find a step by step guide on how to do it without fucking up the phone would be extremely helpful.

Have you called Vodafone tech department? They should talk you through it. It will only update to a maximum of 2.1 though, as 2.2 is not in the plans for HTC Hero phones....well, not official versions anyway. I thought 2.1 was already out though? Teenslain should know, or hippy.

From what I've seen, I think 2.1 has been out for a while now. Its even possible that you may have it already.
Orange released theirs before Vodafone, but I'd be surprised if Vodafone were this far behind.

........update on my upgrade problems.....well it looks like it might have been my router. I spoke a nice lady on the phone. Explained that I would be charged for my internet usage from now till when my upgrade kicks in.....she credited money to account for weeks usage and then gave me unlimited use from now til end of month.........

........now they question is what do I download.............what I really want is iplayer type package (I know that beebplayer is off line now). Also would like DAB radio and a music player as close to spotify without paying. I've had a bit of a look but wondered if anyone was using anything.

i bought SpeedX 3D from the android market the other day. IMO its the best 3D game ive played on the android so far..Looking to get Heavy Gunner 3D..anyone played it yet?

I want to get a tablet that isn't an iPad. Not much out there than can compete at the moment which runs Android.... maybe I'll hold out for Chrome OS.

I'd wait till the next generation. Tablets have not been mass marketed yet as they just don't offer enough capability - Apple will claim to be the pioneers of the category, but in reality they have just marketed an under-performing product very well.
