I was cycling with my girlfriend down in Farringdon, just past YO!Sushi, lights go red, traffic completely stopped and we just try to squeeze it through cars and a double-decker to get to the front of the traffic.
We're cycling in a single line when suddenly people just start appearing from everywhere, crossing the street between the immobilized traffic. My Mrs tries to avoid hitting a woman and brakes, jumping off the saddle balancing her weight.... I smashed against her, KAABOOM!!!!.... result: broken saddle, broken brake cables for both, untrue wheel for me, and the woman she avoid hitting had the nerve (with both of us laying on the road), to come shouting: " you are mad, watch where you're going..."
I can tell you it was the closest I've been to physical assault, ever, to anyone.
