Sadly, I cannot race anyone - I trashed my bike REALLY badly today, using the good old "daughter's pedal catching in the front wheel right in the middle of Hyde Park" trick. Bike stopped on a sixpence, vaulted clean over the bars, right on top of her, couldn't drop my shoulder and roll, otherwise I'd've put my full weight right into the middle of her back - had to try landing on my hands and catching my full weight. Luckily, no proper injuries to anyone, a couple of tiny grazes - minor miracle really.
Front half of my bike is pretty much written off though. So much for the Charge Butt-Plug being "bomb proof". It isn't "heavy steel child's mountain bike proof" though...
