    Oh definitely those couplers are a fantastic idea, wonder whether someone will rip off the idea and bring it to a lower price point?

    Well, my Bob Jackson conversion, my neighbour was cleaning out his garage whilst I was working on another bike, he asked me if I wanted this dusty rusty blue giant for parts. said sure, cleaned it up and there it was! I have spent a fair bit on parts for it like, and it's a work in progress.

    With the Hetchins, my dad bought it 2nd hand in the 70s, for about £650 old money i think. then it sat unused in a garage for 25 years until last year, when I managed to talk him into giving it to me. Money spent on parts and repairs around £300 so far. Was thinking about getting a new road bike, considering giving Hetchins modern gruppo + wheels instead.

    Still fair bit less than a rohloff and those couplers.

    Well, reckon it's a definite improvement!

    now for the flooring...
