  • The apart from 30 minutes of non-stop explosions ... the expendibles really impressed me as it explored the values of redemption, kinship, the inner humanity and whether the soul transcends existence (Mickey Rourke monolouge while painting a guitar really went explored this subject).

    Stallones performance was gripping from the start to climatic finale, he was a gun for hire that needed to "save" his soul by risking his life for a woman that he barely knew, she represented the redemption that stallone was looking for.

    They also explored the themes of art, how it was influenced by war. They even explored the subject cultural warrior makeup aka war paint and how it represented the wearer.

    There was also biblical slant, as Terry Crews reminded us about the importance of Christmas.

    All in all it delivered on many levels.
