timmeh, phone back the pco and tell them about the inncident again only this time say you have a camera and were filming the whole thing... I bet they respond differently (also slip into the story you were on your way to the law firm you work for :) it's not the truth but the taxi driver's going to lie too!
also a fair bit of drug abuse too which could explain the behaviour!
areyou outing teab as some kind of drug fiend?!
Anyway I was talking to someone as SEs who said I should repeat what I was saying here. That is that if you are going to get a camera one facing backwards is just as, if not more important than one facing forward. It's the rear camera that gets the best pictures of number plates... But more importantly it's being hit from behind that's more dangerous as you might not be aware... And if it happens fast your head cam's probably not going to see anyything except sky and ground...

a few weeks ago the passenger in a car violently objected to my presence on the road and he spat at me
most of it landed on my glasses, which i have sent to the police for DNA analysis
today i had to leave my DNA sample with my local police station so i can be eliminated from suspicion of gobbing in my own face
the driver of the car is struggling to remember who was in the car with him, so the police are going to be paying him a visit and asking him if he wants to be charged with obstructing justice
fuck with me......

have you ever thought it may be someone you have pissed off/argued with previously.
Just trying to help as it could narrow it down to under 5000 people...

Dare I ask what bit of your DNA you left at the police station..... I've always had a thing for uniforms myself.....
:-)
p.s. More seriously, does that mean you go on the national DNA database, or do they guarantee to destroy your sample....

Ive been spat at before - will be interested to see how this turns out DJ

They can't use my DNA for anything other than this enquiry
It will not go on the database

Missed the question above
Two swabs taken from inside my mouth.
This mornings gay bukake may play havoc with the test results. -

not at all, everyone here no doubt loves you.
Being serious, there is always a chance of retaliation and as cyclists we are in the weaker position if a car driver who remembers you/holds a grudge as they very much have the upper hand as they come up behind you.
Something that is always in the back of my mind when I lose it with a driver. -

Interesting situation on Thursday evening.
Got cut up by some cunt on a scooter on Waterloo Bridge, he then cut up a few more cyclists and proceed to ride like a nob. Caught up with him at Oval and told him to stop riding like a prick. He then sped out of the light following me, cut me off and tried to land a few on me. Got off my bike and used it as a shield basically pushing my old beater into his face. Then before I know it 3 PCSO's are leaping over the central barriers and dragging him away. Brilliant! Asked me if I wanted to press charges and I said I just wanted him to stop riding like a nob. They told him that, he thanked me for not pressing charges and we shook hands.
Quite bizzare.

Was anyone else on here one of the many cyclists endangered by this prick driving a Lucketts Travel coach on the Fulham Road yesterday?
I managed to catch up with him and take a pic by Putney Bridge. He was driving like a tool all the way down Fulham Road. I've never felt compelled to report anyone before but I saw red after he swung in to overtake me (cycling in the centre of a single lane) ten metres from a traffic island, forcing me up onto the kerb to avoid the back of the coach as it swung into the lane.
Does anyone else find it incredibly difficult to write a complaint letter without reading it back to yourself and thinking you sound like a bit of a dick?!
-
• #441
no
just write the letter, if someone has endangered your life it should be reported
-
• #442
The letter's sent, don't worry about that - I do like the final line though.
"I’ve attached a picture I took of the coach once I’d caught up with it to help you identify the driver in question. Please see attached image (killercoach.jpg)"

I ride like everyone's blind. And Mental. And hates me personally. Riding defencelessly keeps me on my toes, and so far in one piece. Doesn't matter who's fault it is, when you get hit by a 4x4...

Have you done cycle training, dcmansfi? It's a very useful method which enables riders not to have to make so many unwarranted assumptions about people. Have a look at the cycle training forum:

NB the recommendation is not intended as a slight on you--read a bit of the information and see what you think.

Twat of the day
White van driver wk09 tp0
Works for purified air conditioning
It was after the mission workshop launch. Was going down great eastern St and van starts beeping incessantly. I am in the left hand lane in primary position.
Traffic stops so I turn around to have an exchange of views. He then decides to carry on his journey while I am still in front of his van. I stand there and ask him if he has just rammed me and he affirms this. I then call the police and take photos
He is adamant that his behaviour was appropriate. Then a witness comes up and completely corroborates my story.
Forumengers turn up and ask what's up. They immediately give him some verbals too. I am asking the driver if he is looking forwards to job hunting. He keeps on saying he has done nothing wrong. When the witness reiterates his account the driver starts to look quite worried.
Police then arrive take statements and explain cps may not take action but as I have requested they will call his boss and explain the situation.
I will also follow up with the employer. Hopefully this will result n one less dangerous professional asshole driver on the road.

White van drivers shouldn't be worry about the recession, only encountering James.

SRSLY? What exactly would have to happen for the CPS to stir themselves, I wonder?
This thread is making me need a wee.
