Because only melts wear expensive chronographs without deployments ...
IWC straps are £200 and with daily wear can slowly begin to crack when used with a buckle because of the angle it bends when fastening the watch.
A deployment means the strap is never bent to extreme angles so it will last for many, many years. Plus your watch can't accidentally fall off you wrist.
Consider investing in a deployment clasp now, or you may need to buy a strap and clasp in 6 months.

The croc strap on there now is really soft and supple so can't see it cracking though, no extreme bending angles either. I'll look into it though
