^ true quills will always look better than aheads... but I think you warm to them eventually.
Plus they have so many advantages. If you really have to have a quill, you can get a shim for the headtube to put a 1" headset, then it's just a case of getting a 1" threaded fork you like.
Just got to ask yourself whether the hassle, expense, and loss of practicality is worth sacraficing for the look.
