ok when you say less sporty I reckon you're referring to the angles of the frame. but (pardon my ignorance) has that anything to do with multi-purpose and winter/summer?

The Steamroller has clearance for big tyres, like the good ones for winter. Check the Winter Tyres list thread for examples.
But obviously it can be set up for very fast commuting, or even sportives, if thats your kind of thing. A very multi-purpose bike.
