  • Yeah it's the one I use for my Gaggia Classic, like I said i'd rather sell everything together to get it out of the way but if that doesn't happen you're welcome to it.

Also for whoever takes the whole lot i'll chuck in 3 bags of beans for you.

Forgot to mention there are a few spare baskets and a blank that also are included.

  • It appears I now work with someone connected to this mob.. I've not yet tried their beans or cafe.. just throwing it out there.

    £50 and stop reposting it.

  • SPAM ALERT....

now now coffee people, I would have thought a thread with so many coffee enthusiats and coffee geeks would jump at the chance at owning your own roaster... what you(s) scared of burning your house down/ drinking too much coffee?

Im getting desperado at present.... you probably noticed... well my new option:

I am about to start work as a courier my front wheel is 20yrs old (approx) all be it with high end parts. Im in need of a new front wheel with wicked rims and hub and db sopkes 32/36- i.e. Mavic Open Pro/DT Swiss and perhaps Zenith/Miche or Shimano Hubs.. Which will eat up the miles with pleasure for me.

Id do a straight swap anyone who has a good quality wheel kicking around and would like a new toy, please get in touch , cheerio

  • You're probably best putting it on a coffee forum of some sort, either that or ebay/gumtree.

  • He has already. I'm getting a bit tired of the constant posting to be honest.

No one has offered you more than £50 so either accept it or stop frickin posting here.

  • Surely ban time now.

    WAC

  • If you *had *to have instant, what would be your recommendations?

(for the times when I really can't be arsed to properly make coffee)

  • The sachets nicked from hotels are the best because they're free. :)

Actually we had big tubs of some organic fairtrade bollocks at work that was ok.

  • Ashamed to say this but there is a jar of kenco in the cupboard for, you know, emergencies.

  • I have a jar or 'Percol', which is very tasty. Just wondering whether anybody has got anything else I could try really.

    Go out for coffee :)

  • I think it might've been this ^ but in a massive tin.

  • The sachets nicked from hotels are the best because they're free. :)

    And worth every penny...

  • Are flasks ever any good? I'm getting fed up with the ton of overheated milk I get served when I ask for a cappuccino at work. Thinking about just making some decent filter coffee and taking it in.

  • We use a Bodum french press at work (when I'm too lazy to fire up the Gaggia)..

This would be a fresher option and doesn't take long to make. You could even grind your own beans and use them like we do some times.

  • I've always had problems with those getting the right strength - it tends to get stronger and kind of stewed if you leave it too long. Also, I manage often to allow the grinds to escape past the press. Probably not doing it right, though, so should give it another try, or just use paper filter method.

  • I just make sure it's going in straight and not too fast (ooh nurse!). You can see if any is escaping.
As for stewing, someone will make a pot and the rabid coffee freaks in our office will empty the bastard in about 45 seconds so it's not really an issue. Sharing is caring.

Wait till you could be arsed.

  • i have run out of coffee again. only choices available are an overpriced tin of illy or a packet of lavazza (black or gold).
or possibly something from sainsburys finest range.
i'm guessing i should wait until tomorrow when i can get to monmouth.
do i take a chance on spending £5 for a horrible coffee and then throwing the rest away?

i could always use the cafatiere as i't's less fussy than the gaggia

  • Yeah go for the cafetiere in that situation.

You got a Waitrose near you? Their single origin offerings are the pick of the readily available bunch. If it says 'suitable for all coffee makers' or some cobblers like that, then you're best off making it with a pourover filter.

  • it's a bit of a trek to waitrose. i'll go with whatever sainsburys have in the 'taste the difference' range
