to be fair i said it might be a carbolite frame, i also said that I might be wrong, leaving it open for people to correct me, which they have done and which i have immediately accepted. I wasnt alone in thinking that but iv also seen plenty of pretty shitty lugged plain gauge/ 501 (maybe not carbolite but still not great) peugeot road frames so the lugging in itself was hardly a definitive sign that the frame was originally a track frame.
anyway it does seem that this the real deal after all and that the price is fair as i and other doubters (but not haters) have already admitted
this also gives the thread many free bumps, not a bad thing imo
