  • The point of all this talk is to learn from leagues V1 and V2 in-order to make V3 better.

Whether that means improve the rules of the on court game itself or the structure of the league.

The issue we are talking about right now is the structure of the league...ie game/fixture format. This needs to be different vs throwins and tournies because 1) the league is a points system 2) fixture play lengths need to be a certain time in-order to be worth arranging in the first place. Which is why 1 game of 1st to 5 is a risk...no body wants to trek all the way across london for a game which could be over in a flash.

Using the football league format of just 1 game split into 2 halves...works well for our needs. But it will only work with unltd goals...which im cool with.

It's only when using the 1st to 5 format for a league structure that we start causing problems and make things complicated. Because then we've got to decide on how many games we play, if each is within a time limit, if we allow for draws or GG or if there's an overall winner from a best of xx games.

If we want take into consideration wins, draws, loses, GD, that each team gets to play from each end of court and game lengths being of a worthy time...the football league format is probably the best option.
