The snapping of pedals has happened to ke twice in the last year, both left side, one I could feel something was wrong but couldn't work out were... Stopped tightened up the cranks thinking they might be loose and snapped the pedal as I tried to ride off...
Both happened on my polo bike in the same part of my commute... Just after a pretty large hill (a24, southbound after morden college) so I figure I must stamp down too hard when trying to pedal fast...
