  • in other news, my problems are down to a head gasket :(
    no mg in france.

Thats crap. Although from my experience all head gasket probs are down to over enthusiastic driving! ;)

Kerrrrrrist Jon, do you own Kuwait?

Funny you should say that. After 8/10 months of looking this was the first that hasn't been LPG converted! And you'd think with the engine mods that it would be worse than the 11-14mpg these cars originally came with.

But the guys has been getting 20-22mpg (he has anally recorded it for a few years) which is impressive. Although having said that I have already been onto Prins inquiring about the conversion costs!

  • I bet his foot wasn't buried in the axminster though.

Looks like a fucking good buy.

    ooooff!

probably down to having it a little lean for too long though. hopefully nothing nasty like the head warped.

  • gas conversion waste of time.

  • until it pays for it's self 6 month later cause gas is like 1/2 the price of petrol

  • By my calculations it should pay for itself within 8-10K, dependant on price changes ( I can see LPG is starting to creep up faster than petrol).

Considering the amount of cross-continent she'll be doing might well be worth it

  • why not just buy one with it then?!!

  • oh dale

  • Dagger GT...

  • why not just buy one with it then?!!

    oh dale

    oh Dale indeed!

Picking it up tomorrow morning. Really, really terrified at trying parallel park it!108inch wheelbase, you can prob add another meter to that inc. bumpers, etc. Lol

I'd love to know how much that GT costs!! Beautiful imo

  • AWSE!
    Congrats.

    Bummer!

Head gaskets are easy peasy though dude. Can be done in 1/2 a day.

  • yeah - we leave on saturday morning, so it's the astra.

i will have a crack when i get back. hopefully it's not warped.

  • if its warped i'll bring around the deck sander ;)

  • i have a file that might do the job!

i've got a spare head. needs u/l valve seats though.

  • My hillclimbing/sprinting Mini mate could do that for you. He's based near Gravesend. If you want/need the info in the future then drop me a PM or something.

BTW Red, I'll need the jack and whassernames back in a few weeks, (probably) have work to do before the MOT is due. Not for 8 weeks or so, but I am a slow mechanic :S

  • nae bother.
i am off on hols fo a fortninght, but i'll drop 'em back as soon as i am back.

i will let you know if i need the services of your mate, too - ta.

  • thats a mini z rc car

  • Will have FAIL written across the bonnet in fucking chalk.

    That is all.

  • Ha, lol.

  • Sad really, isn't it.

  • less hate'n more lovin'

  • Even for the helmetless?

  • Nothing pleases me more than seeing a matt Cayenne. Even Germans will swallow their pride over hard cash. Golf anyone?

  • yeah. Love the helmetless too

  • I really do like matte black vehicles. Always have. Not sure if I'd get one now, as they've become quite common, but for the ultimate Batmobile experience there's no alternative.
