At present, the corps claim that they pay competetive wages based on their turnover. If we paid more for the same items, turnover would increase, freeing up some extra cash for the workers. Then I wonder what the excuse COULD be not increasing wages.
Of course, we'd have to make it clear that this was the point. I think we all know what'd happen if we threw 150 quid at a Niketown (or flagship store for any other global sportswear brand) employee for that 20 quid sale t-shirt....it would never reach the intended party.
