  • I felt that doing it painlessly with a GPS took a lot of the magic out of it. My last two have been an entertaining mix of massive navigation failures and stopping and checking the route sheet vs distance as I went along.
    Knowing, on approach to junctions, which way you were going to go, and just sweeping through without slowing kept thing smooth and quick but nowhere near as interesting.
