I've just discovered that my new bike bought off ebay has 'Harry Hill' written on the frame rather than Harry Hall.

Is this the one with 600 gears that you were bidding on yesterday?
Surely this is just an excuse to buy another bike...
-
• #3108
It has three gear wheels on the front and seven at the back - ie a traditional 10 speed bike.
-
• #3109
Im pretty sure thats a 21 speed you have there.
-
• #3110
No way. I've counted them. There's 10.
Does anyone know where I can buy campagnolo stabilisers? -
• #3111
I can show you somewhere you can buy oven mitts that will stop you posting any more tripe on here.

Tripe? Oven mitts? I think Mr. Wig must be a chef somewhere. Harvester? Anyway I went out and bought oven mitts. Then I cut holes in the ends for my fingers and I can type perfectly. Thanks for the tip!
Actually the bike I bought seems pretty fab. It looks like Harry Hill because one of the decals is peeling. campagnolo everything - including the heaviest clunkiest pedals imaginable. Just did a search and they are Campagnolo Look clipless pedals in a sort of ceramic-looking off-white. Bizarre. Will need to sort cleats and the right kind of footwear. Where are those white stilettoes when you need them?
Pedals for sale. -

Your best bet is not to ask for general advice; use the search up there^ till your fingers bleed and then ask specific questions backed up by what you have learned. That way you will avoid annoying people who might think you want them to do all the work for you while you sit around in your scanties watching Antiques Roadshow.

hi wiganwill thanks for the advice, i'm gonna get stuck in
-

I notice you don't deny that you watch the Antiques Roadshow while wearing your scanties. You have found a home :)

Found the spoke length calculator on here pretty quickly. No silly questions needed!

You need three posts (written things) then you will be a full member. You can write anywhere, about anything. You have one here. Say hello in the welcome thread, that will be two. Then you need one more.
