    Also engines are at their most efficient at constant revs and with movement (so energy converted to motion and not lost with the vehicle sitting still.

    A bus transports many hundreds/thousands of people around all day. A car? Fuck all.
    Since there exist bus lanes, buses and taxis most likely stop/start less than a car in traffic.
