Just use Ubuntu.
I can't say this enough. I'm having to use CentOS at work and the thing is an absolute fucktard. Nothing is in the default repositories and I cannot recall ever compiling so much software from source except for when I ran Gentoo for a while. Urgh. Oh, and SELinux is just hassle... does it really offer anything substantial that makes this pain worth it?
