I understand the first bit of this sentence but what does the second bit mean? is it a really small chainring?
nope, it fits on the crankarm(special trials arms) and a fixed cog goes on the back. typically. but can also be used for rear.

How could you ever gush someone EMBARASSINGLY with your new build, Fred? Gosh, whatta machine. Hell's planet!

ed you don't know your bikes too well! that is a cinelli xa stem.
I meant something like that;
couldnĀ“t tell it was a cinelli stem in the first place, whoop!
-
• #105
I like these... Cinelli 1R stems

The 1R model squeaks and is not as secure as the XA
But it does look good!

Absolutely correct, dmczone. That's the biggest difference between the two.

Where did you get those DA levers from? I want some!
Just being picky - I don't think the seatpost suits the lurvley bike.
-
• #111
Thanx Fred, knew you're a friend :)
Found two pairs through ebay, Pifko. And would change the Supertype to a DA Aero seatpost anytime, if I found one.

Vincent are you still around this place?
Your bike looks amazing! I've come really admire the Cinelli Supercorsa Pista frame and I would like to try to buy this from Luigi in Italy as you recommend. I'm saving up money at the moment.
You mentioned buying it through you? How long will it take to get the frame, you think?Soarer

ahh..my dream bike.
-
• #118
Absolutely lush, if I could have a pair of bikes I'd have a Supercorsa Pista, silver with red saddle and grips and full DA groupset with Campagnolo Pista wheels and a red Supercorsa with black saddle and bartape and full DA road groupset with Lightweight Obermaier III wheelset...
I'm getting awfully excited at the thought of this...

I'm getting awfully excited at the thought of this...Sigh... yes indeed!
But I want mine in green.I think I may be a little crazy wanting to spend so much money on my first fixie... Am I? :D
Well I'll have to see, If I can't make it I'll find a cheaper (temporary) frame.I wan't to put a pair of Deep V in silver on this bike. Probably with Miche or Halo hubs.
I want a bullhorn bar.The rest I haven't thought so much about. -
• #120
Ah if you're going for the Cinelli frame you have to go the whole hog on hubs, Phil Wood, DA, Level or Royce I reckon...
-
• #121
Yeah I wanted Phils but if I spend so much on the frame I may have to settle for cheaper hubs. I'll have to prioritize and I can upgrade later, I think.
But yes Phil hubs would look great on this bike. -
• #122
i would stick on some duraace most probably on my red supercorsa..if i had one that is
-
• #123
I will get one... Probably for my next frame, it's a toss between a Supercorsa Pista and an Ocean Keirin Sentouki... It'll be the whole hog when I do though, Campagnolo Pista wheels and Dura-Ace crankset and headset, Nitto saddle and stem and some MKS pedals, then wrap those sexy wheels in a pair of those insanely expensive special edition Lightweight tubs... Cost an arm and a leg but it will be so worth it! Hopefully by next summer if all is going well ;]
