Crimping brake cables on a bike is normal isn't it? They always become frayed and a bitch to do anything with if you don't crimp.
I have the end of the bolt sticking out of my mallet head filed down so it's not sharp - If your mallet hits other people than that's down to bad play. a bit of a tap is fair but a clout is just ignorant.
A lot of the 'rules' people are throwing up is basic stuff that often don't need to be mentioned. It's only because of the thick headed people who say "technically" a lot that we need set rules. Whats wrong with being friendly to each other and making some attempt not to injure some other person that you don't know.
In our area the only rule we have is that a bike have bar ends. Rules make things too serious, seriousness destroys fun. Same as the reason why we don't have scoreboards - it's more fun to try and remember the score halfway through a game
