• Hard-hitting LeMond interview in the Süddeutsche Zeitung:

    http://www.sueddeutsche.de/sport/radsport-schweigen-zahlen-es-ist-fast-wie-bei-der-mafia-1.976244

It looks like an exclusive, so doesn't seem to be available in English yet.

He calls the UCI 'corrupt' (again) and 'almost like the Mafia'. He also says that he thinks Landis has 'proof'. He claims that Armstrong tried to bribe someone into saying that LeMond had taken EPO. He also says that he'd found out that Landis doped before he tested positive. He'd heard from a US Postal mechanic in 1999 that Armstrong had paid money to the UCI. He implies that Kim Kirchen's recent problems are down to doping. He's got Landis a lawyer (claiming that as a favour to LeMond the firm is acting 'amost for free'). Interestingly, he suggests that the positive samples from 1999 could become valid, as this is a criminal investigation. He says that Armstrong isn't suing Landis because he knows that Landis is telling the truth. He is sure that Armstrong 'is history'. He re-iterates that he didn't dope, but tried marihuana.

The newspaper seems to have contacted a spokesperson for Armstrong, but they denied the allegations.
