Any reported theft gets a crime no for insurance purposes??
It's good to get somebody important on the side of cyclists. Jus lik good ol' Boris.
Had my bike nicked tuesday night from outside the Pineapple in Kentish town
60cm unbranded cobalt blue alu frame
Campag pista cranks
CXP33 rims laced on Campag pista hubs
Columbus Muscle carbon fork
Titanium Flite saddle
Profile bullhorn bars
Then it was posted on gumtree last night - http://www.gumtree.com/london/49/62232449.html
at first look the bike in the picture wasn't mine (same frame), but then read the description which basically says as per the pic but with titanium saddle, carbon forks and "Campagnola racing pedals" - Pretty bloody sure its mine so I messaged the guy within 40 minutes of it being posted under the premise of just being a regular punter after a cheap hack, but got no reply so can only assume I saw it too late and they've got rid.
Phoned the police who told me they wouldn't be doing anything about it, they wouldn't accompany me if a rendevouz was arranged and their advice was not to go at all. I said I may be prepared to pay the asking price to get it back to which i was told If I manage to buy it back I would effectively handling stolen goods! Unbelievable.
Anyway, sorry to bang on, just appealing to anyone who may have seen it / been offered it etc to get in touch. Sure i've got a couple of pics knocking round, I'll try to post one over the weekend
