  • Nah, I couldn't make it, but I've seen then before a few times. My friend saw that tour in london, wasn't O'Malley dressed up with laser needle fingers and a grim spine crown? I fucking love that guy.

You up for riding out to Wolves In The Throne Room and Tweak Bird at the Mill on the 23rd mate? It'd be nice to meet some other Mancunians who enjoy riffs and those bikes what you can't stop pedalling on.

p.s. I've got that Black Pyramid album now... Holy fuck where are these riffs coming from? Ancient Mars? Ultimate death-shreds

Yeah me too, this was the most brutal yet though, they had their usual speaker set-up behind them, then a massive rig set up either side of the bar behind you, 360 wall of noise, yeeeeaaah. I only live round't corner from the Mill so I'll be walking round for Wolves, well looking forward to it, they were well good at Star & Garter a year ago

  • Just seen this from Roadburn... got to say I fucking love Yob. I saw both sets it was great. as with usual youtube vids don't do the sound justice but this isn't that bad

  • Just got onto spotify thanks to Clefty, just tracked down back at the funny farm by motorhead.

    Good stuff.

Anyone got a spotify list they care to post?

  • And yes, I did utfs.

  • I dunnae use Spotify, it's not got half of the stuff I like on it; and I really don't trust it for some reason.

  • Couple of new london gigs announced

Electric Wizard 28th Oct Electric Ballroom
    Shrinebuilder 2nd Dec Scala

Shrinerbuilder are pretty much nailed on for GS!YBE Atp that weekend as well I'd wager...awesome

hells yeah, that'll be the 3rd time I've seen the show.. Wasn't massively impressed at Roadburn.

  • I am a thrash fan.
Gama Bomb are an irish thrash outfit well worth checking out.
Their latest effort, tales from the grave in space, was available for free from Earache.com, not sure if it still is though.
Also Municipal Waste are pretty good, if not a tad mainstream.

And go buy Probot, its v good.

And 5 finger death punch are a shit slipknot

I saw Gama Bomb at Hellfest last year, great fun

  • Cheeky bump for this... - http://www.lfgss.com/thread44519.html

  • Hope you get your cash back.. ebay/gumtree?

I'm not really a fan personally and I don't know many who are fans that aren't already giving it SLAYERSLAYERSLAYER

  • Electric Wizard - Dunwich

Walking the dog round the countryside this morning listening Leccy Wizard, perfect start to the day. This track is such a motherfucker of a tune.

  • Anyone heard the new Grand Magus yet?

I'm liking it... although the edging towards a sort of power metal is disconcerting

PAT... damn fine tune that one

A bit pricey but right on your doorstep and amazing lineup.

  • Anyone else have an appreciation of oldschool melodic death?

  • Been listening to nothing but Harvey Milk recently.

Someone said they were 'this generations Black Flag', and I thought that was such a major claim I had to check it.

Not sure if they're this generations, but they've had a huge impact on me.

  • I know this is going back a bit but...

(also, probably the wrong place to mention it, but I'm really into screamo. Anyone else?)
Yes. Liking bands like Adept, and Her Bright Skies but not come across anything new recently. Also into a lot of "classic" metal. Sabbath (obviously), Rainbow (Stargazer has to be one of the best tracks ever), Maiden etc. Also loving Y&T's latest album, Facemelter.

  • I recently found a few machine head tracks on my ipod (from metal hammer free cds)
    I like.
Anyone recommend an album or 2 of theirs I should buy?

  • The burning red was always good in my book

  • naaah, Burn My Eyes is the only MH album worth bothering with... some classics on there.

    YouTube- Catafalque - In Passion

This metal has the problem a lot of this type of metal has ... I kinda like it but it is almost not music ...

  • ^Hmm, not really sure I agree but I see what youre getting at.
