Yep, that's a perfect example. Two top teams end up playing each other and one of them gets knocked out. It's shit. It's great that we haven't done it that way with most big polo tourneys.

I can't believe they're planning single elim for this - that's a pretty shit way to decide world champs.

In berlin this weekend. Saw lots of NETTO stores, and played on a natural court they just discovered:

not MADE FOR POLO. Just happens to exist, to have the perfect size, perfect surface, perfect barrieres (cushioned), perfect angles, and almost perfect cages.

is it a bit weird having such low sides?

gonna be coming to berlin with a couple of uk teams, Asbo and Netto, purely as a spectator (no chance i'd be good enough to take part) but wondering who to contact about accomodation? been told there was a link on this thread but can't see any... can anyone help out? ta

It looks like we are playing 14(!!) games in the first round, followed by a 16 team single elim final. Sounds awesome to me.
