I was thinking though, was this in a public place, because the noise of an angle grinder going through a Fagh Mini, would create an enormous racket. Also, did they lift the bike and walk away with it, because I only wonder if they cut the chain (easier), then took the bike away, to work on the Fagh Mini later? If the bike was seen being wheeled away, it meant they cut the Fagh Mini and then took it away. It doesn't make alot of sense taking away broken pieces of lock though.....unless the thieves fingerprints are already on a police database...
Your Abus chain, which was it, if you don't mind me asking? If it was the Abus Granit Extreme Chain 37, then those guys were properly tooled up. As that is ABUS' best chain, and meant for motorbikes. Maybe not in the same league as ALMAX, but it would've taken a whole lot of effort to get through that one...
I hope this turns up quickly, and that you get it back.
It was not really public. I am working out of Hammersmith hospital and it was kept in the yard out back. So no one was really around. I thought it would be secure because it is so secluded and the public cannot enter. However there is a alley that runs behind which the thieves used. I think they must have seen me cycle in every evening and planned their crime. From the CCTV they cut the chain (Abus Extreme 37) for sure but I cannot see the fagh. However they must have done because both the chain and the fagh were connected to the bike stand?
Someone did actually spot it that night. One of my friends were driving to an accident and thought he saw someone riding it, though he couldn't be sure.
