Hi all,
I am so interested in this frame. Want to know if anyone can shoot me the photo of the barspin clearance/toe overlap problem?(with 165mm crank n when it's horizontal) , I've asked john n he said it can barspin a 42c easy.(But I don't know if it's easy with the crank horizontal 9 n 3 o'clock)
And anyone know the price of this frame?(Ted handbuilt) .How long will it take to delivery?
Thanks if you guys can help. -

Saw this in Cavendish Square today - sweet build.

Forks will be done very soon, can't tell you exactly when, sorry. They're worth the wait, Ted has designed the most amazing steerer...they're going to be the best trick forks ever made! :)

That's Duncan's ESB. It's beautiful! It's got raw profile cranks and profile acoustic stem and it has custom painted profile hubs.

stoked on that build, is well lush!
i need to change my back rim (running an H+son eero), its shit and heavy, makes the back end feel sluggish, any recommendations?
can't wait for the fork, really wanna see what this bike is capable of!
also, considering running 26s on mine (tis a small), but not sure how itl ride (bb drop, tire clearance etc), anyone else riding 26s on theirs???
also, someone tell me how to ride fakie properly! i can do backward circles eeeaaassssyyy, but im still really struggling with long fakie rides, i can go for about 5 metres, but then i just wobble and fall off :( -
• #61
I'm planning in running 26s because I'm really short. As for the fakie have you tried enlarging your backward circle? keep going larger and larger till the point your almost straight
-
• #62
i find sitting down easiest for fakies, and maybe not even looking backwards, just stare at your stem haha
and tony fast runs 26s on his.. ill be sticking to 700s but i dont think they would ride bad on 26s either.. but the crank drop and catching pedals and stuff is a bit annoying

haha great advice both of you!
tried a combo of the 2 today, getting it much better now, just need to get those wierd hop 180s down now, not the proper bunnyhop ones, anyone know what i mean?
speedy fakie scares the shit outa me :S
tried my mates 26" on the front today, felt mint, so ive ordered a set of 26s, plus some new cranks with a much smaller chainring to make up for the slight bb drop. -

Speaking of 26", I have a 26" wheel bicycle with 2.35 tyres, extremely fat (the aptly named Fat Frank).
I put it alongside a skinny 23c tyres, and notice that the radius is pretty much the same.
-
• #65
yeah, there is barely any bb drop at all, when i tried my mate's wheel with a 1.75 i was surprised!
too many people are writing off the 26 thing.... -
• #66
I have a 26" fixed wheelset already, but i left it in Portugal :s . My mom will post it for me tho, as soon as I get a trick frame for it!
-
• #67
biggest 26" tyre you can get for the esb? front and rear?
-
• #68
pretty big i would think.
saw you on the 14 blog dude :) -
• #69
cheers man, think that photo was from a quick stop comp
people, DON'T BUY IDENTITI FORKS. i snapped mine! not even doing anything massive either, just a 6 set!
also, my front chukker is totally out of true now... -
• #70
IDENTITI FORKS. i snapped mine!
whaaaat!? when did that happen?
-
• #71
people, DON'T BUY IDENTITI FORKS.
Or, instead of going around the Google of the world screaming bloody murder about those Identiti forks as if you were James Martin, have it ever occur to you to simply talk to the manufacturer about this?
-
• #72
do you even ride a trick bike?
-
• #73
If you mean BMX, yes.
Now either call or send an email to Identiti.
-
• #74
clearly you misunderstood, i meant a fixed gear trick bike.
stick to what you know, gumwall tyres and leather bartape.
why don't you call them for me? -
• #75
Because the closest i've ever come to doing a trick on a fixed gear is farting and almost accidentally doing a wheelie, on a bmx however I am a god amongst men in the skatepark, and other riders fear my very presence.
yeah, wierdly the lockring stays tighter than when i was using rhd for tricks...
