I was told by my urologist, that I can cycle as long as I wear tight stuff around my balls. He hasn't mentioned lycra, so I do use jeans as well. As long as I don't let the thing dangle, I'm safe (no boxer shorts! they are for filthy slobs and gang bangers anyway and I don't get them).
