Farrar has a hairline fracture of his wrist but will start today. (He's taken a hefty dose of HTFU). Christian Vande Velde has broken ribs and won't start so Garmin's priorities have changed again. They'll be about stage wins now I think.

I think Hushovd is a nailed on certainty for the green jersey this year.

The opinion up here seems to be that hes been out of the saddle too much this year (illness, injuries etc.). He is back on form, no doubt, but can pull himself over the mountains and nick some extra points?
More to the point will he need to?

It'll mean taking a lot of flack from locals (as with last year :( ), but I still like the idea of Edvald steeling the green jersey.
