Title made me laugh a little.
This has also happened to me. A couple of years ago at about 7:30 in the morning. Unknown to myself, the tyre had a small rip in, I pumped it up using my track pump... decided to have a little look and it exploded close to my face. I woke up my housesmates and couldn't hear properly for a while. Good times.
