Well the inner tube did any way. I got home last night and decided to pup the tyre up to 60psi. No idea what it should go to I have only had the bike four weeks and its been OK at that pressure so 60psi it was.
About 2:00AM I heard a massive clap sound. Wasnt really like a bang more of a clap but it was so loud I must have lifted about 2 foot of the bed and so did the other half!
Though better check to see whats caused that, thought maybe the bike had fallen over but no it looked OK at the time, checked all windows no one decided to put a brick through, dunno why they would but hey ho. Looked out side to see if any cars had crashed and nothing. So back to bed.
Just as I went to take the bike out this morning I noticed the front tyre as flat as a flat tyre! So thats what the bloody noise was my inner tube exploding.
On the bright side it didn't happen as I was going round a bent with a big lorry next to me and I got to take the mountain bike for a spin (first time this year) before Sundays MTB ride.
Parts of any one elses bike ever exploded in the middle of the night?
