  • If its too easy now put a smaller cog on, if its too hard put a bigger one on.

scott your range was from 65 -74 with your favorite being 70 so why suggest 75?

  • I agree with both of you, hah.

If you have absolutely no clue, then try riding a geared bike to ballpark it is a good idea, you are still going to have to guess within 2-3 ratio's to take into acocunt the qualities of riding fixed anyway, so still might end up buying a few cogs before getting it just right for you.

If you have some idea already from the gearing you are currently using, then just buy a smaller or bigger cog. If thats not right, buy another.

At the end of the day, its not money wasted, because you can keep them and then gear your bike to suit where you are going to ride in the future. (Or bang one on the other side of the hub and flip the wheel as an when you feel like it)

I just stuck with the off the peg ratio on my Fuji.

  • Anyone got a RAL colour book..? need to pick a powdercoat colour and GBH have lost theirs....

  • Not for the Milwaukee is it?! Best colour ever that!

  • nahh.. not the milwaukee... and no the screen ones aren't great.. i want to see an actual sample before deciding....

  • it's my dave lloyd.. finally got the BB shell replaced... just trying to decide on the colour and whether i should get the rims powdercoated at the same time...?

  • Night blue, or

    Gentian blue

  • RAL 5018

                                                        Turquoise blue

                            [ RAL 5021](http://www.e-paint.co.uk/default.asp?cRef=RAL+5021&pType=&pFinish=&cDescription=Water+blue)
                                                        Water blue

                            [ RAL 7034](http://www.e-paint.co.uk/default.asp?cRef=RAL+7034&pType=&pFinish=&cDescription=Yellow+grey)
                                                        Yellow grey

                            [ RAL 6006](http://www.e-paint.co.uk/default.asp?cRef=RAL+6006&pType=&pFinish=&cDescription=Grey+olive)
                                                        Grey olive

i can't decide with out seeing the real colours...

  • ral 5018 is really boring, it's not a very bright turquoise blue... I had some trucks painted in it once... If can find any pics I'll post them

  • RAL6005 = British Racing Green.

  • Right, movign out soon so got to get rid of some bikes. Sorry for the really bad webcam settings, Bajan lost my camera.

    First my Specialised Langster

Not the original forks as Adam snapped those playing polo. 58cm, comes with BB, 32t crankset which is perfect for polo, and seatpost. and loadsa rad stickers.
Some dents, from polo use, but in good condition.
£70, could probably throw in some more bits if it is for polo use

    Next, 56cm Challenge frame.

Bought this from gumtree for £20, looking for £20, comes with cranks, stem and bars sadlle and seatpost, although i think the seatpost may be seized, havn't really tried to shift it. paintwork is in a really good condition. good for a conversion or sumin.

Freecycle: two or three metres of that grey pipe we bought last summer for polo, that Si has one one of his mallets, aswell as 10 end caps, 6 golf clubs. all in exchange for beers

  • woody can i have 2 end caps please

  • sure

  • If anyone is interested in old bits & bikes, according to Campyoldy there is a cycle jumble at Parrs Wood Rural Studies Centre, July 3rd, 09:00, free entry for buyers.

  • polo wheelset/ bits anyone? ^^

  • Unlikely, it's a regular event and on the one occasion I turned up, was mainly people selling 5 speed cassettes and old wheels at not cheap prices. OK if you have a vintage road bike, shite for everything else.

  • ^^+1. I've had a few bits to keep some old 27" road bikes going. Just putting it out there in case anyone fancied a rummage through some old oily bits, or to gaze at the eye-wateringly expensive vintage Claud Butlers / Jack Taylors etc. that turn up.

  • dont go to GHB for your paint job doing, get it done at North Manchester powder coating, costs like half the price.

  • http://www.lfgss.com/thread46809.html - selling my D80 if anyone's interested. Cheaper t youse as no postage obviously.

£6 and an awkward and overlong hug?
