Booze is the killer; and not knowing when to put down the Haribo.
this.^
the problem with people who go on a fitness binge is that the body reacts to the sudden increase in activity by going into crisis mode which makes you eat more, when i started cycling i was eating a second breakfast before going to bed after a massive evening meal. you soon wean yourself of it though.
i see a lot of these weight loss threads on cycling forums where people say they are exercising etc and eating sensibly but often they aren't. often they eat crap high gi foods (white bread/potatoes) and fatty/sugary snacks plus the booze.
i guess there are specific ways to 'burn fat' but eat better and exercise the right way is a good place to start.
would be interested to know the expert opinion on how to lose fat and how people perceive their efforts. both in intensity and time spent exercising?
when doing my midweek laps of the park i see a lot of people noodling around and a lot less actually pushing themselves.
dunno how important that is just an observation.
