That's right, outside of left drop out.
When i took out the fork the steerer was still painted black so I think it must have been stripped back to the chrome at some point rather than re chromed (strange that they would chrome the whole bike just to paint it?!)
Would be nice to know what it is, could throw some decals on it!my carlton continental is chrome and has traces of blue/green paint in the corners of the lugs. it was originally blue/green all over shiny chrome. it was the fashion in 1954. this is a pic of mine.

i'd go double sided on the dahon, just so much easier on junctions and tyre wise, kojaks are good, bontrager road warriors are also good, as as specialized fat boys and conti travel contacts are good, but heavier than the others

Finally replaced the wobbly cottered cranks on the Dawes with an old road crankset and new 110mm BB from Cavendish, it's now awesomely fun to ride and perfectly doable to do 10 miles on, especially when the gearing is almost perfect at 50/18, the original gearing was way too spinny at 46/18.
the paint is slowly peeling off revealling a maroon colour undercoat, can't tell whether that's the original coat for the Dawes though.

I'd like some clipless pedals and some 26" slicks for my Dahon. I've had sport contacts before and they were pretty good, any suggestions?

Yeah I think the double side thing is a good plan, had good experiences with any in particular?

My coaster's started making a stupid rattling noise, so i need to sort that and I'm thinking a Gamoh rack up front.

trust me, you don't.
I love the kids I tutor/ babysit- but fuck me they are annoying occasionally.
I have a friend who is currently supporting himself using the essay writing service- he got a 1st and gets like £500 per essay- which take like a day.
sadly no one wants an essay from me (3rd). -

this is the first time I have ever been 'in the red'.
I have a bunch of emergency money in my savings account- from past sales- which is paying my rent and food.
I'm about to regress several years and start at AYS again, which will suck, but at least its basically a job a day. -
