My Trek hybrid has a 20 spoke front wheel and 24 rear with V factory built (bontrager SSR) rims. Front has been fine, popped a few rear spokes, though after getting the wheel swapped via warranty it's been fine since. I'm 20st. Kinda tracks with the 1 spoke rule ;)
