Bad decisions can swing a game - maybe not a problem in a league because as you say over a load of games some sort of balance emerges - but with tournaments from the knockout stage onwards you can basically see your whole team kicked out over a fake dive or some other theatrics.

Good point though about inciting riots . . . . maybe the monitor is iPad sized and the ref runs over to grab it off an official.
