  • They can't hold it off forever, it's getting ridiculous that a ref can't watch a quick reply on the big screen - especially in important decisions like a sending off or a contested goal - the old argument of it slowing the game up is horeshit, you waste more time with everyone protesting a bad decision and circling the ref - and with technology available now you can set up and reply the event in seconds - what's insane is that even people sat on their sofa at home in their underpants can make a better assessment of how to call it as they get to see several replays from various angles, while the ref needs to use divination and guesswork - it's ludicrous.

As for the threat of every foul being contested, each team could have a set amount of calls to the big screen (like 4 or 5 . . . . ) to prevent this.

I can well imagine in the near future instant replays of incidents for the crowd on the big screen and the ref having to shield his eyes in case he sees what actually happened.

    Fucking ridiculous.

    [/rant off . . . .]

grounds can't replay those incidents, they did once at Shite hart lane and it all kicked off. the crowd turn against the ref.

If you bring in time outs for video replays ITV will fill that with a fucking advert, it should stay as it is, it all balances out during the run of things
