I started off thing that it was a bit ridiculous to ride around with a camera, but having watched the vids, its actually a great idea.
I have felt ridiculous and geeky this week using the camera. I have not achieved much as I am trying to find the perfect spot for it and I am afraid it will have to be mounted on my helmet. But so far:
I asked a driver to put her phone down and pointed at the camera: she became absolutely livid and dropped her camera down her top/bra.
I feel calmer
Jaygee - who is generally ahead of me- shows off even more (races nodders, takes his hands off the handlebars, looks cool in general).
unfortunately I missed capturing a cyclist undertaking a lorry that was turning left when the light changed to green. It was unbelievable but great skills from the lorry driver who checked his mirrors and waited for the cyclist to eventually passed him by.
That guy's videos on youtube are great (he is a bit of a show off though :). He filmed the cycle path on Vauxhall Bridge and the LCC have put it on their website. It is pretty scary and really show how pointless and dangerous that path is.
