    I've been in a few 35-40mph finishes, and no one likes it when a rider changes their line like that. It's not that hard to keep a straightish line, even when muscling a big gear out of the saddle.

    Cav doesn't habitually sprint in Abduspazz mode, so it was calculated, but probably poor judgement of Haussler's speed relative to his, or he started to fade a little early. Haussler maybe found a little kick in the split second before Cav swung into his line of sight, but like people have said, he was riding in a straight line and fully committed, so I wouldn't blame him at all.

    I had a huge argument with someone at Eastway because my front tyre drove their (carbon Campag Record) rear mech into their spokes - they were fading like a motherfucker, and practically did a 45 degree turn in front of me when I was already butted up against the right hand verge. You're ready for a little madness, but never the dreaded Abduspazz.
