Batteries last longer by running down to ~5% then a full re-charge to 100%, then disconnect from charge and run down again, yep.
Think of it as a battery that's healthy and exercised often vs a lazy one on the mains. You can usually check the "current" battery capacity vs "original" on a machine (if inclined).
Nah, my emac is based around the same motherboard and everytime you disconnect it from the mains the clock resets, so that would make sense.
The eMac and iBook are not based on the same board whatsoever and have completely different PM.
