  • Ive been gradually going through my stuff, in prep for a move to London, and have been selling items on here for a few months.
Mostly, It's been the straightest, easiest way of doing business, with a bunch of honest friendly people. Recently though, there has been a spate of people putting dibs on items, or PMing me that they want them, then going silent and disappearing!
Why do people do this? For me, dibsing an item involves my bringing it 200 miles to London especially for you. I have only sporadic net access once I'm darn sarf, but I give my mobile number and do my best to keep in touch.
Surely, if you decide you dont' want something after all, you undibs it on the forum, and at least PM the seller.
I'm sorry for the nice folks who have been straight with me, but to anyone who has dibsed (TA Adapteur, Evans frame, Carbon Trek frame... any of these ring a bell, you fuckwits?), You are a waste of space, and a drain on the reputation of the furum. you are also denying the items to others, who of course look elsewhere once the 'dibs' has been posted. So, I lose out, LFGSS loses out, and the other members lose out. What the fuck do you gain from it?

Wadya think, should I name and shame on the relevant advert threads, or is that bad form?

    Opinions welcome.
