The Bacchus Frambois was an interesting drink. Raspberry flavoured, it doesn't drink well on its own. It starts off sweet, but switches immediately to an acidic aftertaste. But when drank with food, of spicy or salty content, its a revelation. Its actually a lovely beer for drinking with food. A BBC review of it also said that it accompanied bitter chocolate very well.
Wells Bombadier is the best beer/ale I've drunk since the Innis & Gunn. Its gorgous on its own, cold.....and fantastic with lunch. I'm tempted to give it a 10/10, but I'm saving that for surprises that may follow. Meanwhile, its a refreshing light tasting drink, that is pure and clean. The most quaffable ale I've had in a while. Delicious.
This weekend I tried to two more beers - Bacchus Framboise and the Wells Bombadier.
