Very nice!
What RAL and lacquer choice?http://www.lfgss.com/post872763-364.html

AFAIK they demand you to remove everything from the frame to, bb, hs, sp, ....it will go on an oven...

Decals are all post-lacquer, the lacquer used with powder coating also has to 'bake'... meaning, no decals would survive. but the finishing is so smooth and perfectly done, there's no issues with any (good) transfer to hold on.

Check out the picture of how they want the frame delivered to them.

if you're really nice and they like you they may removed a seized something or other for you... last time i went in they mentioned they had just spent a few hours getting someone's bb out for them, they seemed good natured about it but I doubt they'd be very happy to keep doing it... unless you sweet talk them a lot. On the other hand london fields cycles is very close by, so if you go in early you could drop it off there and (hopefully) go out for a quick shopping trip for socks at primark, have an early morning ale at the pembury, then go back & pick up your frame & drop it off at armourtex.

Whatever it is, I want to see it built up. It's a bit, er, green at the moment but I bet it'll look tits when it's finished.

getting this done at Armourtex at the moment, should be ready toward the end of the week. Liked the original paintjob but unfortunately it's too chipped and getting rusty in places, time for a summer refresh. I'm having it done in RAL 6026 and getting new stickers cut in white or gold. Will post "after" pics when it's back.

and the stickers are no longer on the rims!

My old Colnago was showing the effects of constant years of abuse and it is still a good ride so I treated it to a makeover. My new team kit is white with pink detail so I decided to do the frame the same, I'll look nicely co-ordinated on my training rides. Powder coated by Armourtex in RAL9001 White, with some pink bands and Colnago decals. Will detail the clover cutouts to some paint as well.

Cheers, I'm tempted to put C-Record with Deltas but it's my trainer so I think I'll go for more modern 10 speed goodness, makes swapping wheels easier.
In terms of yr clovers & lugs, can I recommend this if you hadn't already tried it - works a treat. Looks lovely BTW.
Cheers for the lining tip. Yup, went for vinyl stickers on this one. I've made my own Waterslide decals and they look the business but 6 layers of lacquer afterwards is more effort then I wanted to put in, it is just my training bike after all :) -

...BMW Clusterfork V2 arrived this morning and I'm considering taking it straight to Armourtex.
Despite months of emails, still can't get a definitive answer from BMW about the RAL code for their custom silver. Anyone know how accurate it would be if I took the old fork up there and swatch-matched it?

120e for sandblasting, buffing the frame to get out a few imperfections, powdercoating and glitter lacquer, seems ok to me, their work seems to be top notch so I don't mind paying for the quality...

Has anyone tried a two-tone pearlescent paintjob?
I'd like to get my Condor repainted to a pearl white but I've not seen any examples in the UK of two-toning. The closest thing I have with such a paintjob is my Makino fork, minus the glitter/sparkle, and it looks excellent in the sun.
Also, how much are Condor decals, does anyone know?

got the frame back from Armourtex - it's RAL 6026 Opal Green with lacquer, was gonna go for 6004 but they've run out. All in all very happy with the job Armourtex did - took them 2 days. Going to be getting white Edison decals cut to finish it off.

Hi Guy's I'd just like to share my latest project with you;
I have just got it back from powder coating (The colour is RAL7006).
This was done by Windridge Coating ( www.windridge.co.uk/content.php/410) as they were able to fill in the dents in the frame before powder coating (something other powder coaters told me couldn’t be done?).
Anyhow, I got the frame back today and it is great (Dale at Windridge even re-tapped the BB after coating), so I just wanted to share it with you all............
