I know we're all wondering, but no explaination for the head tube? I've see extended headtubes but not like that.
seems like a terrible idea to cut it after putting all that work into it. what if something fucks up in the cut?

i've seen al the parts before, and actually own some of them, but that comes together nicely.
makes me really want to strip the Waterford.
If you leave the headtube long, it makes checking alignment much easier. A lot of head tubes are sold as 60cm lengths which means you can check alignment with the seattube pretty much by eye, if you're within 1mm at the end, then you'll be within about .2mm where it counts.
It also allows you to clamp further away from where the brazing is going on, so the clamps don't get in the way, or take heat away. Cutting afterwards is pretty simple, no one is going to fuck it up.
