What sort of quality are we talking about with this kind of frame? The colour I think is what has attracted him, but maybe would be better off going for a frame we're sure about and getting it re-srayed a similar colour?

It is a long time ago for me, as the (broken) frame was trown away not long after I got it, but from what I recall and what I can see from your pic okay lugs are used and the technique with which it is put together is okay as well. I do still have the fork here and it kind of confirms that picture, but it is not explicitely light.
If you want to have another frame painted in that colour including the chromed detailling it will sure set you back more than what the Adorni cost.
