  • You don't need to confirm your registration, so, maybe we could fill in certain members rides in absentia

  • ^^ Don't like the sound of that. Could be considered cheating.

  • I like the idea of weekend rides. But we could also just do laps of the loop at Regents Park on sundays for the next 3 weekends.

  • ^^ Don't like the sound of that. Could be considered cheating.

    god forbid

  • LOL, thought you were serious!

  • whoever contributed to the .38 miles, i am impressed by your accuracy.

  • i round up to the nearest 20

  • We need 30 more members to match UBS for size. Look at how many Elites they have already.
Size doesn't mean anything if people aren't logging miles. So as robin said log your miles!

it's the first 20 miles that really benefit the group

  • I think you can read too much into that... What would you rather 2 people who do 20 miles in a month (getting 100pts each) or one person doing 120 miles in a month (4miles a day, my retired mother will do more miles than that this month)...

The latter because the former pushes us up into bigger groups...

But really it's all theory, the more people we have logging miles the better, short distances or 1,000 miles a month, doesn't really matter... The more the merrier.

Quick get your ma to sign up!

  • added my miles- got the first date wrong, i did those on the 2nd.
    shhh.

  • Quick get your ma to sign up!

i might seriously try and do this!

If we include miles on rollas then she'd be even more of an asset!

  • I'm now signed up for this.

Shall I start taking the longer, more scenic route to and from work?

  • I'm in and logged my first miles, 11 a day plus whatever I get up to at the weekend.

  • not too far behind team scr now!

    It all counts!

We need to beat UBS - especially given we've subsidised them (well Banks in general if not UBS directly - but I'm happy to tar them all with the same brush) and they are Swiss too so they have an advantage of having nicer places to ride AND all that yodelling has been proven to increase your VO2 max so basically they are cheating... (probably).

  • I'm all for rounding up to the nearest 20. Hell, let's make it 50. We could think of it as our bonus. UBS got theirs. We could call it our tax on bankers.

I think we're better off recruiting more people and jumping up to the 100+ league.

  • Paris-fucking-Roubaix.. 175miles. Not to work though, oh well.

  • doesn't have to be for work i don't think...leisure counts too. tfl just doesn't expect people to travel for leisure because their service is so unpleasant.

  • What we need to do is get the max number for this group, then dont go over

  • doesn't have to be for work i don't think...leisure counts too.

I hope so as I've been adding weekend runs and trips to the shops.

I reckon Paris-Roubaix should deffo count double given its epicness i.e. 350miles

  • No I thought that but new people get the most points, if you keep getting new people that's the best way to keep your points climbing rapidly.

What we need to do is get the max number for this group, then dont go over

  • Counts because you live in London and you rode it, that's the only criteria.

All cycling counts as long as some of your months riding is in london

I get the impression rolla miles don't count as it's not actually cycling is it?
