  • any interesting (and geeky) discussion gentlemen. i would want to run 28 -32c with the option of using 23c or 35c occasionally. i usually run tyres around 90 - 100psi.

    this stuff about the A23 is quite interesting:

    Velocity's A23 is the answer to the problem you did not know you had. The A23 is essentially a wider Aerohead rim. The idea behind a 23mm wide rim is that when paired with a 23c tire, the internal width of the rim clinches the tire beads just right so that the tire profile is very close to that of a tubular rim. So you get less rolling resistance, better cornering, and a better ride (you can run your tires at a lower pressure
