It is certainly possible. There are quite a few camera repair places that can help. Some are listed already in this thread. Sorry, I don't know which posts. This might help also.

Or phone Silverprint or Mr.Cad, and ask for a recommendation. Mr.Cad will probably do it in a day or so, as they have at least one repairer that they use.
