Never knew BMMF and DJ lived together in Kew.
Wow!
I'm his bit of rough. We've never tried to hide it from anyone.

Stelle, only just seen this. Ouch! Heal quickly and fully. Hope you are back on the bike soon.

murmura, glad the bandage works. It looked a little big when Digger put it on you but you must have adjusted it correctly.

^^It's ok as long as he's not claiming your rent on expenses.
Now contemplating how the hell to get my top off from last night. It's a Skins, so xxx-tight & unbelievably expensive. Feel this may hurt.

Sorry to hear about this hope everyones ok and heals quickly.
Stelle take your OK arm out first then get someone pull the top over your head trying to not move your upper arm. Then gently take it over your arm. I dislocated my collarbone and broke my arm at the same time and thats what I had to do. Maybe leave it as long as you can as the pain will reduce alot in the next few days and it'll be easier to get off, or drink half a bottle of vodka first.
I'll be happy to help with some sweeping, no broom but sure I can pick one up somewhere.

If anyone wants to help sweep then feel free. We don't need an official "sweeping list" or anything. Last week I was sweeping blossom off the banking during the kids races while everyone was hanging around after the warm up (which I didn't do as I was running around unlocking sheds and printing off programmes). There are usually two brooms hanging around by the track gate.
That said, I don't think there's been a particular increase in punctures has there? I had one a few weeks ago in Sunday training - but that was on a knackered old road tyre. Alec had one early in the last race, but he rides to and from the track - I think this was the "mystery" one that had everyone looking down at their wheels and me telling Alex Christians that it was him, and him getting off the track to find out that it wasn't :S !
Either way punctures had nothing to do with the crash - I didn't see it but it sounds like it was just one of those unlucky and rare things that happen in high speed, close proximity racing..
DOV - I noticed the rolled tub on the Anchor, but I assumed that happened as a result of crashing - not as the cause of it (either way that shouldn't happen).
Stelle - GWS obviously. I heard from Max - Like Cooky said he's chipped one of his neck vertebrae, but just needs rest. Not sure about Daniel - will call him tonight. I suspect collarbone/ribs...

Another crash during derny training tonight...
The slow derny suddenly stopped just past the finish line and those on the back hit it. One of the older guys (VCL but not sure of his name )got taken away in an ambulance and couple of others badly grazed...Was on the Medium derny and we all just managed to avoid all the people lying on the track....
should be called the Herne Hill Hadron Collider

That's Kevin's. someone hit his back wheel pretty hard, hard enough to sear the bulb stem off the tubs and dent the rim. He was telling me that his shamals were the first set in UK...

Oh no! poor Eric. I hope he's ok. That sounds like a bit of a freakish accident.

I thought Id given myself a hernia during the flying 200! -

Thought I ought to join LFGSS to get involved in all this crashing discussion. I had to take serious evasive action last night behind the derny crash. A real "Days of Thunder" moment, weaving through 3 bikes and bodies. Luckily they all stayed put. Get well soon Eric, Stelle and the others. See you at the Open Meet tomorrow.....

welcome onboard phoenix person!
I've banned crashing tomorrow so that should be ok.
Get well soon, Estelle!!! Doctors say we can cycle again in 3 months, but fellow cyclists promise 6 weeks:)))
You are describing exactly my feelings....
It actually doesn't hurt too bad with painkillers, but when I stop taking them, even getting up from the bad takes eternity...
Digger found a figure of eight bandage for me and it rocks! I can sit straight and don't look like an invalid with that sling....
